When do I need to pick my workshops?
No need to pick in advance. Feel free to have an idea of what you would like to attend but you can pick the day of the retreat based on what you feel called to in that moment. On rare occasion their may be an exception to this for a workshop where the facilitator offers supplies. You will have an option to reserve a spot in these workshops, if space permits, on the registration form.
Do any of the workshops have a limited number of participants?
The way we are having the weekend flow is that the workshops are all unlimited. On a rare occasion their may be a workshop that is limited to number of participants due to the fact that the facilitator is bringing supplies needed to run the workshop . When you register you will have the opportunity to reserve a spot for yourself in this workshop if it is on your “to-do” list. All other workshops you can decide the day of!

Is the retreat suitable for beginners?
YES! What a great way to try lots of various workshops without a long term commitment.
Where do I park?
Parking is free and on site. Parking will be visible after you drive down the long lane and enter the camp.
What are the accommodations like?
Camp Kintail has recently completed a new building with additional accommodation styles. Accommodations range from Insulated Cabins nestled in the woods that have heat and hydro to dorm style rooms and hotel-style rooms. Please visit the Accommodations Page for the full details on each style.
Are there bathrooms in the cabins?
No, there are not bathrooms in the cabins. Camp Kintail believes it is more sanitary to have central bathrooms for use. There are bathrooms located on Cabin Hill, in Harmony House, The Nest and in MacDonald Lodge for use during your stay. From any cabin, the longest walk to a bathroom is approx. 1 minute.
Do I need to bring my own bedding?
Yes! A mattress is supplied but you need to bring your own bedding, a sleeping bag or twin size sheets and blankets. Feel free to visit the suggested packing list page here.
Are there showers? Where?
Showers are located in The Nest and The Main Lodge. Since we are all women they have allowed us to temporarily change the men’s bathroom in the lodge to a women’s bathroom doubling the showers!
What is the food like?
Camp Kintail’s chef prepares the food in the commercial kitchen using the best ingredients available. For example, all of the cheese comes from a local farmer owned co-op Pine River Cheese, that is renowned for excellent quality cheese. They never use cheese powders or processed cheeses. Camp Kintail works on providing food that is fair traded. For example, the coffee is organic and fairly traded. Much produce comes from their own extensive garden. Camp Kintail’s kitchen is nut aware and does not prepare any food with peanuts or nut products. They ask that guests not bring any nut products onto the camp’s property.
Will there be spare time and what can I do in my spare time?
Your schedule can be as busy or relaxed as you choose, after all, there are TWO hammock villages that might just call to you for a little snooze! In addition to short early morning classes, there are four time slots throughout the weekend where various workshops will be running simultaneously for you to choose from. Our evenings will be fireside and full of fabulous energy and experiences.
Do I need to pay for anything once I’m there?
Although all your food, accommodations and workshops are covered in the Weekend Fee, you may like to bring some cash for the festival marketplace which can have a wide variety or wares from yoga supplies to jewellery to natural body care. If you wish to take advantage of one on one services in the Healing Oasis and haven’t pre-booked and paid you may want to have cash on hand for that as well. The nearest bank machine to our knowledge is in the town of Amberly at the Petro Canada, 10 minutes North of the camp.
What happens if it rains all weekend?
Camp Kintail has an array of indoor spaces available should Mother Nature not co-operate. The weekend will continue as scheduled in protected areas. Please pack for weather conditions.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, most of the camp has access to wi-fi at most times including the cabins, Harmony House, and the Lodge. We ask that you respect the other attendees and keep your phone on vibrate during workshops and in sleeping quarters.
Can I come alone or do I need to come with friends?
A Nourished Woman Weekend is a great place to come with friends and it is also a wonderful place to make new friends. Whether alone or in a group there will always be something to do and people to meet. Not everyone is coming with friends and not everyone is coming alone.
Will I get a receipt?
If you require a receipt please let us know in advance and we will have that for you on the weekend when you check in.
Can I swim?
Yes you can swim, no life-guard is on duty so swim at own risk. We strongly suggest that you swim with another goddess!
What are the bugs like?
Typically Camp Kintail has very few biting bugs. It is hard to tell from year to year so come prepared.
What should I bring?
